In 2001-2002, after reviewing the fixed line telephony market, the telecommunications industry regulator OFCOM (formerly OFTEL) concluded that BT must allow other network operators, such as Opal the opportunity of providing access lines as well as calls. This has enabled us to tailor a range of solutions to suit your business requirements as well as offering you savings across the following line rental propositions:

Q What number do I call if I experience a problem or fault with my line?
A Our helpful and friendly customer services staff are ready and waiting to assist you with any problems you may encounter.

Q Do I keep my number in the phone book?
A If purchasing single analogue PSTN “Like for Like” transfers then directory entries are transferred. For all other products Analogue & Digital directory information must be specified.

Q Can you save me money on my Redcare Alarm System line?
A Red Care products are not supported within Opal In-Line.

Q What is the contract term?
A The contract term is a minimum 12 months for Line Rental and Calls.

Q What information do you require to transfer my line rental to Opal?
A All Select Services and Directory Listings are transferred “Like for Like”.
For all other line types Analogue & Digital there is NO “Like for Like” transfer available, and therefore for successful transfer ALL line configuration information such as Select Services & Directory information will need to be identified.

Q Will Opal In-Line affect my call costs?
A No. You will retain extremely competitive call tariffs.

Q Will I still have access to 118 and other enquiry services?
A Yes

Q What about emergency calls?
A Emergency Level 1 Access calls will be handled by BT.
